Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Hi to all my readers! It’s been a long time I know.. It’s 5th day of January, and I know that I’m a bit late for posting this, but who cares. I feel like welcoming 2014 is the best thing to share now.
Anyway, welcome 2014, happy new everyone!

And actually, it’s really an awesome year for me. Of course, there are ups and downs, but that’s life, we have to live by it. So while reading other blogger posts, I see that they are reflecting on what happened to them, on what they have achieved last year, and also of course, looking ahead and sharing their new year’s resolutions. But to be honest, I don’t usually have new year’s resolutions because I don’t really have much. So maybe I’ll just share with you my 2013 highlights and what are the amazing stuff happened to me.

1. Started working in a multinational pharmaceutical company with an extra work of being part of the Quality department, a new challenging  role other than being a regulatory pharmacist, which is of course I still love.

2. Going to Baguio twice this year! Hahaha! Though it’s a common tourist destination here in the Philippines, ahm to tell you the truth, my last visit there is like 10 years ago! Hahaha, that’s why I’m so excited everytime we’re going. Haha!

3. Got a close encounter with tigersssss... yes! Freakin’ tigers! But hey, they look behaved and tamed, I think.

Zoobic Safari, Subic

4. Travelling to one of the most wonderfu, astonishing destinations here in the Philippines, where the most famous Chocolate hills and wide-eyed small tarsiers are known for – BOHOL!

A-mazing place for beach bums and nature lover like me! J

5. Lastly, and I think the most amazing thing that happened to me last year is to meet this awesome guy, my bhe/baby – Francis. I can’t believe 2013 will be THE year for my most awaited love. <3

Thank you Lord for this wonderful year, I hope 2014 will be another year filled with love, joy, hope and new memories and another journey.

Happy 2014 everyone! J

Out with Google Reader, In with Bloglovin!

You may have heard of the rants about Google reader (and/or GFC), that they will soon be no more around the blogosphere. Yes, I believe it’s true and it will be gone by July 1st. They say that you can still see your GFC followers, but the sad part is that your readers won’t be able to see you feeds or posts. I thought, hey this happened years ago with Google Friend Connect, and now, history repeats itself, Google Reader will soon disappear.

Fortunately, I’ve already signed up with Bloglovin last year and actually I find it much easier to follow other blogs and read their new posts, promise! So to my loyal and faithful readers, let’s follow each other in Bloglovin..

Please click the link of the image below to follow my blog or you can find it on my sidebar.

Cosmetics + Accessories Haul [Set 2]

Hello everyone! It’s been a long time.. I know that I’ve committed before that I’ll be active here on my blog. But jeez, I’ve been quite busy on my career and on finding another job. Just to share with you guys, I left my work because of some managament issues, thus leading to resignation. I think you know the cliché “looking for better management”, well... we’re in the real world and we have to practical and of course, we have to level up our knowledge and experiences. So yeah, I resigned last March, then I did my turnover for 3 weeks, then waited for like one and a half months looking for a new job!

And just 3 weeks ago, who would have guessed?! I have a new job!! Whopeeee! And I felt it’s really a blessing from Lord because I’m praying for a multinational company that has a good reputation and I know that is something to be really proud of.

Anyway, so that happened to me these past few months, and I’m very glad I’m back here on my blog! So to start it of, here’s another haul of random ka-kikayan girly stuff!

As you may see, I’m such an addict on buying accessories (from F21, obviously) and nail polishes! Well, this is not the first time so maybe on my upcoming posts, you might see again hauls such this type! Lol ;)

F21 earrings: Diamond shaped-Php 209, 3 pairs set-Php 280, Heart-Php225, Anchor-Php 95 (such a steal!); Jellybean earrings-Php 199

I think I should entitled this post as Forever 21 haul, lol. Anyway, I got the bracelet set (w/ pearls) for Php365, the pearl necklace is Php 815, the ring is only Php 90! The belt bracelet is Php 505, and then the geometric necklace is Php 400 from Accessorize.

Lastly, the Beauty UK nail polishes are bought from an online shop, the Makeup Haul (link). The posh polishes are worth Php 85 each, then the shatter polish is Php 295. Then, I got the LA Girl lipstick for Php299 and eyeliner for Php 420. The VC perfume is Php 1200, thanks to my mom! Then the Sunsilk hair serum is Php 215 for heat protection, esp when I’m straightening my locks.

So there you have it! I really hoped you all enjoyed my haul! And oh, just a quick note, I had my summer vacation at Puerto Galera on the first weekend of May, so maybe I’ll post some of our pics here. So exciting to share it with you, my readers! J What about you, what did you do this summer? I’m glad to know,  you can share it on my comments!

Have a great weeekend!

Giveaway Winnings [Part 2]

Hello ladies (and gentlemen, if in case)! So as the title says, this post will be about my various winnings on different blogs for the past months. Everytime I won something, small or big, it really makes me uber excited.. So now, I’m gonna share with you these 4 AMAZING giveaway prizes.

What did I win from them?

I won from her Holiday Nail Giveaway which includes 16 Jeanmishel nail polishes and nail foil stickers. Elena is really so generous, she also included nail shapers (not included in pictures). What I really like about this blogger is that until now, we are still communicating, talking about different stuff.

I’m lucky to won this Impulse Co  clutch from my fellow Thomasian Nicole. We actually met inside UST, too bad we can’t get to talk that much since she still have classes so she had to run back to her room. Hehe..

The Makeup Train
Then, I won here the Essence of Beauty Duo Brush set and a sample of Sephora eyeshadows. Well, before her blog was more of cosmetics, but now she shifted into a food blog. Check her blog here: The Cat Lady Cook  and read those yummy posts.

The House of Luxe x StyleSurgery
Lastly, I won lots of accessories from MegannMonday’s giveaway sponsored by House of Luxe! I’m really loving the bracelets for sure! Can’t wait to try them out.. J

So that’s it! Did you like them?

What about you lovelies, have you received something from your mail? You can share them to me here..

Cosmetics + Accessories Haul [Set 1]

Just want to share my hauls to you girls. This is actually a collective haul of cosmetics and accessories that I got last year. Some of them are thrifted, some of them are just things that I need, and some of them are those that I really  want to buy. I think most of the accessories are from Forever 21, you know the feeling everytime I go there, I just can’t get out empty-handed, as a matter of fact, I think I’m spending practically double on what I’m supposed to spend. Yeah, I know the feeling *yikes guilty*.

And so be prepared for lots of pictures, sorry if pictures are heavy. J

For the first two, I got them from Starmall for P200 each. The 3rd one is from Landmark for P139.00 and the last one was bought by my mother for P220, which is my favorite actually!

The flower set earrings was from F21 for P280 and the other one is from Starmall for P50. So much for flowers uh?! Haha.. Then the bracelet was from St. Francis Square which I got for P50.

From L-R, the excel lippies were from Divisoria which are P35 each! It is really a great steal, right? It’s really pigmented and I’m super loving it! Then I got the Elf powder foundation for P250 and Ever Bilena makeup remover for P100. The blue-green nail polish is from Etude House for 50.

Then I got the shades for 350 from SM Department store and the Elf blending brush for P120. I really like the brush’s bristles, it’s so soft and perfect for blending!

Just a quick note, the following photos are not included on the first picture because I got them on a separate date but almost on the same month so I’ve just added them here. ;)

The first set of earrings are worth P280 while the ring set was P280 too. Then, the heart set earrings was P225. I’m actually a fan of heart shapes that’s why I got this when I first saw it. Haha!

The Jocaste nail polish was P39 only and I liked its dark blue shade. Don’t you? Whereas the black-brown eyeliner + sharpener in combination was P135 only.

And the last but not the least, I got the heart ring on its regular price of P160, the blue dangling earrings for P280 and the silver earrings for P245. So much for Forever 21 right? Haha, I really just can’t get enough!

So that’s it lovelies! How about you girls? Have you bought something for yourself lately? Let me know in your comments below!

Bicolandia – Legazpi City/Mayon Adventure [Day 3]

I admit, I totally forgot to finish our Bicolandia adventure. I’m so pre-occupied in my work and other stuff, you know. Anyway, soooo.. without further ado, here I am, writing our 3rd day post.. Yehey! (Forgive me if most of this post are just plain photos. Hehe.)

You can also read our second day trip on Caramoan Islands here.

These are just some of the photos outside our villa.. It’s so probinsya-looking, right? Fresh air, green beautiful scenery of mountains, carabaos eating grass.. its just so serene.

I think, at least I have to introduce to you our tour guide/photographer/boatman/driver. Meet Kuya Nido.  Anyway, hop on guys, we’ll head back to the port, back to Legazpi City.

A quick snapshot while waiting for other passengers.

So there goes another 2 hours (longest 2 hours for real) of boat ride from Guijalo Port to Sabang Port. And as usual, the first 30 minutes of the ride was really rough, maybe because it’s early morning and the tides are somewhat high. I was really focusing that time just not to puke and I was always looking at my watch, dismay that 15 minutes just passed and the boat is still rocking madness. Oh my!

And then, when we arrived in Sabang port, our hired driver is still not there, he was stuck in a traffic. Anyway, just after 20 minutes, he arrived and we head back to Legazpi City. As we continue to travel to towns heading to Tabaco City, we've come across three huge crosses on the right side that were built in memory of the people who perished during Typhoon Reming in 2006.

This is a still image while the van is actually moving. Amazing.

If you actually take a closer look on Mayon Volcano, you’ll see the cracks on its near perfect cone image.

Of course, we can’t stop taking photos of this scenic view of the lovely Mayon Volcano. Also, these are the three huge crosses I'm talking about.

As they say, Mayon Volcano is a blessing, but also it is a curse.

Oh my, clouds are almost covering its picturesque view.

When we got back in Legazpi City, we checked in Ellis Ecotel just like in our first daythen went to Lignon Hill for our next stop.

Welcome to Lignon Hill! I’ve heard there are lots of activities in this place, so here we go.

Yeah I know, it is extremely steep, but we didn’t went that way.

First stop is the Japanese Underground Tunnel. To be honest it is sort of creepy with all those Japanese manequins. And you have to crawl on the very end. :|

Next is the Kapit-Tuko trail which is ridiculously steep!! I thought it’s just a simple trailing activity, but we didn’t expect this to be sooo effin long. Todo pawis kami dito, as in!

Overlooking view of the airport atop the hill.

Look at our faces, we are extremely tired from Kapit tuko trail.

Since obviously, I cant take pictures while climbing, I just took photos on this beautiful flower upon reaching the top of the hill.

Then after that, finally, we arrived from the very top of Lignon Hill. There we found a mini restaurant where we bought some refreshments. And of course, we took photos on the enchanting Mayon Volcano.

To be honest, I really took lots of photos of this towering Mayon, it is really impossible to not take a glimpse of her. I just sit there and just look at her and appreciate her enchanting beauty. Mayon is really a nation’s pride that offers a very stunning view of a near-perfect cone. Wherever you go in Albay, you will definitely be captivated on its charming beauty.

I also tried their zipline which is actually my first time. Hahaha! Well, I was screaming my heart out at first, but after that, it was really fun, it's like I wanna try again!! (yeah, i have fans in this photo, hehe)

Then after that, we went to Cagsawa ruins to witness its so-called postcard view.

As we all know, Cagsawa Ruins are famous for its bell tower – which now remains of the Cagsawa Church that was destroyed when Mayon erupted in 1814.

After that, we went in Balay Suanoy for dinner. I really recommend this restaurant because the ambiance is really appealing, and the food are awesome, plus the fact that it's pocket-friendly.

Saw this in their decors. Partial devastation of Cagsawa Church.

After dinner, we went back to our hotel and rest. We really got tired from that Lignon Hill-Cagsawa Ruins adventure, so we went to sleep thereafter. We woke up around 5am to go back to reality, back to Manila.

All in all, Bicolandia is really an enticing experience you should try. Be prepared and be mesmerized by this Legazpi-Caramoan adventure. Now, I really can say, it’s MORE FUN in the PHILIPPINES!
